Award-Winning Recruitment Marketing and Employer Branding Content
Stories Incorporated is proud to have developed award-winning recruitment marketing and employer branding content for some of the world’s leading brands. Of course, the stories we uncovered from employee storytellers have been the building blocks of the content that has been recognized. Without employees’ compelling stories, the videos, articles, blog posts, social recruiting content, and photography we captured and produced would not be possible.
We’re proud of the communications that resulted from the stories and the recognition our work has received in the talent marketing industry. To date, Stories Incorporated’s work has won 9 prestigious Rally Awards, a global competition celebrating excellence in recruitment marketing and employer branding practices. Judged by a panel of experts, the Rally Awards are given to “innovative work with breakthrough results…and use of digital marketing and social media strategies which are essential to attract, engage and recruit talent.”
In addition to the awards themselves, we’re also honored by the words of our clients’ upon learning of the wins. Upon winning the Rally Award for Best Recruitment Marketing Video, for “The Women of Dell,” our partner contact said:
“We are thrilled to receive this award and see that our commitment to attracting, retaining and developing women across our global operations was successfully showcased through the voices of our incredible female talent. Thank you to Stories Inc. for bringing their inspiring stories to life.”
— Amy Winebright, Dell Technologies
Without further ado, here are Stories Incorporated’s award-winning recruitment marketing and employer branding content projects.
Award-Winning Recruitment Marketing Videos
Our Women in Action at Dell Technologies
Dell Technologies has publicly announced an ambitious goal: their workforce will consist of 50 percent women, and 40 percent of leadership roles held by women, by the year 2030. To show that Dell has built a culture to support them, we uncovered and captured stories from Dell’s female team members all over the world. In the video, we weaved together stories about career growth, recognition, internal mobility, work/life balance and initiatives that support girls. (Check out the full global project work we conducted for Dell in our case study.)
It won the First Place Rally Award for Best Recruitment Marketing Video. The judges recognized the video for its powerful storytelling, as well as its data-supported, measurable impact in reaching the right candidates.
A Glimpse into Shipbuilding at BAE Systems
The recruitment marketing team of BAE Systems, Inc.’s Platforms and Services (P&S) sector needed to attract and hire skilled manufacturing workers. P&S is a leading provider of military transportation systems and technologies, including armored combat vehicles and naval shipbuilding. Stories Inc. developed this video targeted to trade school students, to compel them to begin their career at BAE Systems. It was used on their careers site, social channels, by the recruiting teams, and in every presentation to their early careers audience (learn more about the project in our BAE Systems case study). And, it received the First Place Rally Award for Best Recruitment Marketing Video.
A Year’s Worth of Inclusion Stories
This Rally Award for Best Recruitment Marketing Video was awarded to a diversity and inclusion video series we developed for Labcorp. Instead of creating a single D&I video, we devised a multi-story, year-round content plan. We developed a series of videos, each focused on a specific employee resource group (ERG) and tied to a cultural moment or holiday. The ten multiple-storyteller videos celebrated Black, LGBTQ, Latinx and veteran employees and calendar observances. We outline the details of the project and video strategy in our Labcorp case study.
Social Recruiting Video Award Winners
Attracting Elite Athletes to Intel
The social video and blog series we developed for Intel won the First Place Rally Award for Best Use of Organic Social Media in Recruitment Marketing. This campaign features stories from four athletes in Intel’s community who showcase the global tech leader’s inspiring employee experience and values. Their stories were told through 11 videos, customized and optimized for Intel’s social channels, and three blog posts. Dive into the full project in our Intel case study.
These social stories were shared during this summer’s Olympic Games, and this content library continues to communicate Intel’s support for hiring athletes and helping them build successful professional careers. The Rally Awards judges said that this award-winning recruitment marketing and employer branding content campaign was “one of the most creative ways to spotlight employees that they’d ever seen.”
Discover Early Careers and Internships
Discover Financial Services wanted to reach college students and recent graduates in targeted fields of study for their internship and early careers programs. Stories developed a video series, driven by employee storytelling, featuring interns and rotational program participants.
The video series was delivered to their intended audiences through a paid social strategy across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google, and Snapchat. The campaign resulted in over 500 applications and received a Rally Award for Best Use of Paid Social Media in Recruitment Marketing.
Award-Winning Employer Brand Content Marketing
Fueled by Stories: Dell Technologies Employer Brand Content Marketing
For the past five years, Stories Incorporated has helped the Dell Technologies employer brand team develop content that is story-based and employee-driven methodology for its content marketing strategy. In 2021, content production did not slow down due to COVID-19. In fact, Dell Technologies produced even more content in order to show candidates exactly how their culture had flexed and changed in order to take care of its employees in the pandemic.
When winning a Rally Award for Best Content Marketing, the awards presenter said, “What impressed the judges the most was how Dell exemplifies the power of amplifying your employees’ voices as opposed to just using the ‘we’ company narrative.” Learn more about our work with Dell Technologies worldwide in our case study and check out the slideshow below to see all of the content themes and channels involved in the award-winning strategy.
Best Career Blog Content Winner
Life at Capital One: Best Careers Blog
Since launching in October 2019, the Life at Capital One blog has grown to be one of the most dynamic and content-rich careers blogs on the web. Its posts share the stories of how associates flourish in Capital One’s culture for candidates. All of the blog posts, photography and embedded videos content that Stories Incorporated assists the Capital One team in developing, serves to drive engagement throughout the candidate lifecycle. And, we’re proud that the blog was a Rally Awardee for Best Careers Blog.
Award-Winning Employer Brand Launch Videos
Experience A Mission That Matters at Lockheed Martin
Lockheed Martin developed a traditional Employee Value Proposition (EVP) that resonated with employees and candidates. Then they came to Stories Inc. for help uncovering and capturing stories that activate the EVP. We developed seven compilation videos of employees sharing the ways they experience the EVP. We developed a video for each of the EVP’s five pillars, and two videos supported the overall EVP. It’s a case study we are proud of (read to learn more!) and we’re also honored that the EVP video series was awarded a Rally Award for Best Employer Brand Launch.
