What is Green Room Labs?

Green Room Labs (GRL) is Stories’ in-house innovation lab delivering the next big trends in employer brand storytelling. Companies entering GRL will be able to bring their own innovative ideas to test, or get on the ground floor of new employee storytelling trends being explored by the lab.

With GRL, companies can expect a fast-paced, action-oriented environment. We’ll move quickly to test the next big idea in employee storytelling, and measure the results to see if the concept is worth green-lighting into a long-term strategy.

Virtual Story Sessions adapted Stories’ in–person story discovery services to be performed virtually amidst the shift to remote work in 2020. After multiple iterations of testing equipment, platforms, and storyteller experience, VSS launched in early 2021. What started as a way to adapt to the pandemic has gone on to open many storytelling doors for clients around the world. VSS now makes up nearly 50% of the agency’s video production portfolio.

This separation exists to empower our core creative team to do more of what they do best, while still nurturing experimentation and innovation for clients looking to innovate.

Green Room Labs is designed to be fast-moving and action-oriented. We believe the best ideas are made in collaboration, so there is no cost for consultation calls and planning the experiment. The price of each experiment will be made up of story discovery services (uncovering any stories) plus the cost of each content asset created.

Our process is designed action-oriented experiments that take 90 days from consultation to pilot launch. This includes 2-4 sessions to plan the experiment, 4-6 weeks for story discovery and content creation, and the time it takes to launch the pilot.

A green room is the room backstage where performers gather leading up to a performance. Considered a sanctuary of creativity and preparation, we like to think of Green Room Labs as a haven for your own creativity as you prepare for your next big employer brand storytelling breakthrough.
