Samsung Semiconductor is a global leader in semiconductor innovation

Established in 1974, Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. is a multi-billion-dollar subsidiary of Korea-based Samsung Electronics. With more than 10,000 employees worldwide, Samsung Semiconductor’s relentless passion for innovation drives its mission to enhance quality of life and create a sustainable future.

By delivering advanced semiconductor solutions, Samsung Semiconductor plays a pivotal role in powering the technologies that shape our world.

Challenge

Stand out in a crowded Silicon Valley talent market

While Samsung Semiconductor is a well-known and respected employer in Korea, the U.S. talent landscape presented a different challenge—especially in the hyper-competitive Silicon Valley market. Surrounded by tech and semiconductor giants, Samsung Semiconductor needed to clearly communicate what set their employee experience apart.

In addition to differentiating their brand, Samsung Semiconductor sought to broaden its talent audience. The employer brand team recognized an opportunity to engage a more diverse set of candidates and better reflect the inclusive culture they have worked so hard to build.

Solution

A suite of employee storytelling videos that highlights what makes working at Samsung Semiconductor unique

Samsung Semiconductor partnered with Stories Inc. to create a library of employee story videos that brought to life the most compelling reasons to work at Samsung Semiconductor and highlighted their inclusive, global culture.
We conducted two filming days at their stunning campus in San Jose, California, interviewing fourteen employee storytellers who represented a wide variety of job categories, tenures, and perspectives on life at Samsung Semiconductor. These interview days also included extra b-roll footage to feature the campus, which is viewed as a major differentiator to candidates.
From the footage, we created 12 employee story videos:

  • 2 Overview videos highlighting universal culture and innovation at the company
  • 6 Theme videos highlighting culture and hiring topics like collaboration, early career, and the influence of Korean culture
  • 4 Employee spotlights highlighting topics like personal passion and career growth

“It’s still incredible to me that in just two days of filming, we gathered enough footage for more than 12 inspiring, insightful videos. I’m so grateful I got the chance to amplify these stories.”
