Labcorp is a global leader of innovative and comprehensive laboratory services.

Labcorp provides insights and advanced science to improve health and improve lives through diagnostics and drug development laboratory capabilities. The company’s more than 67,000 employees serve clients in over 100 countries.
Challenge

Labcorp wanted to show its commitment to diversity and inclusion and highlight the work of its eight employee resource groups.

With a new diversity and inclusion (D&I) leader on board, Labcorp was looking to showcase its investment and efforts in D&I across its employee population. 
Additionally, Labcorp sought to highlight its unique programs and strengthen bonds between several historically marginalized groups and the Labcorp global community.
Solution

A year-round content plan strategy to lift employee voices.

With a D&I content strategy in place for the entire year, Stories Inc. interviewed 23 employees. These team members were captured virtually in seven countries around the world, from Shanghai to São Paulo. Their unique personal and professional stories were uncovered to show candidates and current employees how Labcorp supports D&I efforts.
We interviewed leaders and participants of all eight employee resource groups and created celebratory content around key D&I moments including:

  • Black History Month
  • International Women’s Day
  • World Mental Health Day
  • Pride Month
  • Hispanic Heritage Month
  • Global Diversity Awareness Month
  • National Disability Employment Awareness Month
  • Veterans Day

Results

By proactively planning a year’s worth of employee storytelling content, Labcorp showcased their D&I progress internally and externally.

Each video was launched on Labcorp’s social channels and some are being used on their new careers website. 
In a short time, the LinkedIn posts celebrating these D&I moments received engagement that surpassed expectations. Some examples include:

 

  • Pride videos: 15,000 views during Pride month
  • International Women’s day video: 16,000 views since posted
  • Veterans day video: 4,600 views in one week
  • Hispanic Heritage month video: 4,600 views in one month
